It can be played on practically any scrap of land. The equipment is pretty cheap and simple, but can be endlessly upgraded and modified. The rules are straightforward enough that anyone can play, but complex enough to allow for plenty of good-natured arguments. And, most importantly, you can play the game with a drink in your hand.
